ghost: a disembodied soul, a faint shadowy trace.

Lost loved ones, lost dreams, lost memories. I use a combination textiles and photography to create unique sculptural works that attempt to help me feel the loss, but also celebrate it's beauty and it's passing.

Each unique piece begins with an image of the lost, printed on fabric, dyed to be consistent with my memory. The fabric is then wrapped around a book that represents the subject of the piece. The fabric is gathered and sewn tight to permanently enclose the book, the memories and the stories of the subject. This piece acts as a totem for remeberence, and a vessel to hold the many stories untold, or unlived.
